Independence Day Celebrations at Ekalavya School, Fatehnagar (Year 2016)

The 70th Independence Day was celebrated amidst the high school students on the terrace of the high school building of Ekalavya School, Fatehnagar.

This year ILID's new COO, Mr.Ravi Kanth and the primary coordinator, Ms.Madhavi participated. The CSR support of the Telangana Government, Mr.Nagaraju was the chief guest of the day.

The event started with the flag hoisting of TIRANGA by the chief guest accompanied by Mr. Ravi Kanth and singing the national anthem along with the staff and the students. The Headmistress Arunakumari introduced and welcomed the chief guest while the students offered bouquet, a drawing and a box of sweets.

The cultural events started with a Gita Shloka. Many other items like tabla performance, songs, skits and dances followed for an hour. The chief guest was very much impressed by a student’s solo performance and asked for a repeat. He also stood up and applauded a dance ( mix of dance and stunts) performance by students of class VIII and X. He also spoke words of encouragement to inspire the students for better performance.

Mr. Ravi Kanth too spoke to the students and motivated them. During the whole event the tri-colored flag showed its active involvement through vigorous movements in the great winds. The whole environment was lively and bursting with festive enthusiasm.

The School staff was in an orange and white dress and the students participated in white uniform.

Students’ returned home after the celebrations with the biscuit packets ruminating cherishable joyful moments from the celebrations.
