An occasion to salute the nation on an auspicious day.
Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and respect at Ekalavya school, LeninNagar. The ceremony started at 8.30 AM in the school open ground with large crowd of staff, students and parents.
Head Master Mahipal Reddy welcomed the gathering and introduced the Chief Guest Mr. Kotha Manohar Reddy(MLA contestant from Maheshwaram constituency) and Prabha KV (Scientist "G" from DRDL).
To Commemorate the sovereignty of our nation, the Chief Guest unfurled the tricolor flag and all sang the National Anthem and expressed the joy of our freedom.
Nirmala of class X shared his views on the significance of the day. The students of VIII and IX sang the Patriotic song that awakened everyone’s feelings towards our Mother Land.
The Chief Guest of the function gave prizes to students for their academic performance and attendance excellence.
Program last for 1 hour with different dances, songs and fancy dress show.
Mrs Prabha gave an inspiring speech to students.
The Programme concluded up with the Vote of thanks. At the end sweets were distributed to the students.
Indeed, it was a day of joy, a day to express love and respect for our country and make it a better place for Indians to live and experience the freedom, peace and unity in diversity.
