Educational Tour - To Nagarjuna Sagar Dam

An Educational Tour was planned to Nagarjuna Sagar Dam, Museum and Power House on 10, Dec 2016 for Ekalavya School, LeninNagar students. Travelling on the ghat road covered with green surroundings was a captivating experience for the students.

A joy ride on the steam boat to reach the Nagarjuna Konda Museum was amazing and the students enjoyed great scenic beauty.

Visit to Nagarjuna Konda museum added a great deal to the students’ knowledge of historical background of the Buddhist civilization. The archaeological significance and Buddhists excavations acquainted them with the rich heritage. The Museum has lots of archaeological artifacts and some broken pillars from the ancient monasteries.

The visit to Nagarjunasagar Power Plant was truly rewarding and uplifted students’ knowledge on power generation.

Students had loads of fun and enjoyed every bit of their trip.

60 students from Classes IV to X and 8 staff members participated in the educational tour.
