Republic Day honors the date on which the Constitution of India came into effect on 26 January 1950 replacing the Government of India Act (1935) as the governing document of India.

This day is of utmost significance for all the citizens of India. About 30 months after attaining independence, India became a sovereign republican democratic country on January 26, 1950.

It is a day of national rejoicing and a red letter day in our country. The day is celebrated with pomp and show, zeal and spirit, throughout the length and breadth of the country.

The day was celebrated in our school with great eclat. The Flag was hosted by our chief guest Mrs Saraswati. After the flag hosting there was march fast by the high school students and also other activities.

Our Headmistress gave the valuable information about the importance of Republic Day. We had cultural events like dancing and singing. There was also a small act played by the students. The prizes were given to the students who participated in different activities.

At the end the sweets were distributed to the children.
