OjusPower Factory visit on 9 July 2016

Ojus Power is a company which is in the business of providing Gensets, Lifts & Escalators. They have been manufacturing Diesel Gensets with capacity ranging from 5KVA to 2250KVA since 2009.Their Generator manufacturing factory is in Thorapalli Village near Hosur in Tamilnadu.

Chairman of OjusPower, Mr. Sampath Kumar, known for his philanthropic attitude, invited Ekalavya school students to his factory to enhance their knowledge.

Around 23 students from Class IX & X were taken on the industrial tour to OjusPower factory which is around 50KM from Ekalavya school from NS Palya, Bengaluru on 9th July 2016 (Saturday) accompanied by teachers.

The students received a warm welcome by the Managing Director of OjusPower - Ram Smapathkumar & his son Vishnu Sampathkumar (who is a teen aged student) and Chairman Sampathkumar.

The students were taken to their state of the art conference room and given T-shirts. Vishnu Sampathkumar gave a PowerPoint presentation about the factory and the technology used in their factory, after getting introduced to every student. Students could quench their curiosity by the answers given to various questions including the Eco- friendly initiatives taken by factory management to reduce environmental impact by the common pollutants. Then students were taken inside the factory to show live how generator sets are being manufactured, starting from bending metal sheets, to punching holes on them, welding them, painting them, assembling the soundproof boxes and mounting engines, wiring and testing the generator sets.

Ojuspower hosted sumptuous lunch for the visitors(which included 'Holige').

Each Student was presented a gift kit (containing Notebooks, compass box, etc.) by a group of elders (Mr. Rajamani N, Ramanna K, Mr. CK Nagaraja Rao) of JP Nagar area of Bengaluru who had also visited the factory.

While concluding the visit, students profusely thanked the hosts for their hospitality,for the knowledge they gained and for making their trip a memorable experience.
