Teachers Day 2015

Teachers day was celebrated at Ekalavya school, Bengaluru in grand manner(a day in advance on Sep 4, 2015).

The school takes the pride to honor renowned teacher, ex-president of india, Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan.

There were big preparations for this much awaited day at the school.

The celebrations started off with the 'Teachers' day' speech and expression of gratitude, followed by cultural programs, some other activities like and a feast. Teachers were presented bouquets, teachers' day cards, gifts, mementos, etc, as a token of gratitude by students.

It was a day of delight for the teachers to see the talents of their students performing various shows. Students from classes VIII and IX presented songs in praise of teachers, traditional dance, a drama and mime show. The highlight was the 'Ganesha dance' presented by classes VI – VIII students. with eye-catching colorful costumes.

After those programs, students of class IX arranged games for teachers like - Bun eating, entertaining quiz games, candles lighting in 1 minute etc.

Mr. Dinesh Shetty from ILID HQ, Bengaluru also joined the celebrations.

It was a great day; the whole school was immersed in an atmosphere of gaiety.
